General Liability vs. Professional Liability

General liability often addresses bodily injury and property damage. Professional liability addresses certain mistakes in professional services.

General liability typically helps with certain third-party bodily injury and property damage claims arising from business operations. Professional liability, sometimes called errors and omissions, is designed for certain claims that professional services were performed incorrectly.

A contractor, retailer, or office with customer traffic may start with general liability. A consultant, advisor, or design professional may also need professional liability.

These coverages are not interchangeable. Having one does not automatically replace the other.

Coverivo can help you describe the work you do so a specialist can discuss which coverages may apply. AI cannot bind either policy.
